Galentine’s Day event at Found Coffee, Guelph ONtario
Hello, I’m Carla a Calligrapher, Engraver and Bottle Painting Artist located in Toronto, Ontario. I love to host small curated workshops and there’s nothing better that getting a bunch of friends together and spending an evening laughing, sipping and getting to create! That’s exactly what we did this past Valentine’s Day with our Galentine’s Day Paint Workshop hosted by myself, in collaboration with Michelle from Sisterhood Photography. The location couldn’t have been any cuter, with the decor and the perfect amount of space for an intimate group setting. They even have a yoga studio in the back, so definitely go check them out if you are ever in the Guelph, Ontario area. The evening started off with some socializing and getting to know you conversations.

The perfect set up for an intimate painting workshop. Each place setting had a variety of special gifts for each guest, including personalized glass and hand written calligraphy place card.
After the introductions, we moved on to a quick little painting intro where I showed techniques for painting on glass. After a bit of practice and testing out tools and colours, we got started on our glasses. Everyone received a hand engraved wine glass that was personalized for them to paint. I wanted them to be as creative as they wished, and it turned out perfect. Everyone had their unique personality and style come through on the glasses.

I thought it would be a great idea to have the glasses and all the gifts personalized to make the event even more special. This was a Galentine’s event after and who doesn’t like to feel special? The night was a hit with each guest walking away with a custom engraved glass, painting workshop, Five Minute Journal, a variety of beverages, treats and most importantly, full hearts. Can’t wait for the next one!
